Our popular Spring Spirit Conference plays to a sell-out crowd every year, and the 11th annual promises to be as exciting as the last ten. Critically-acclaimed YA author Matt de la Peña will open the conference with a motivational keynote. We've got editors and agents galore! Our professional faculty is huge–15 editors, agents, authors, and artists–and are sure to dazzleyour day. The day features a meet-and-greet with our editorial and agency guests, and showcases six morning skill session breakouts (you choose 2) and six afternoon genre session breakouts (you choose 2). Dreamworks animator Colin Jack will round out our inspiring day.

Conference Tuition (includes lunch, snacks, and drinks throughout the day)

SCBWI Member:  $120 ($140 after March 15)
Non-member: $156 ($176 after March 15)
Note: Sorry, no walk-ins. Everyone must pay in advance.

Conference Add-Ons for SCBWI Members only

1. Written manuscript critiques will be available for an extra $45 fee. You may request your top three readers. Assignments are first-come, first-served based on your registration date. We cannot guarantee your choices. Readers will select up to 3 authors to meet with face-to-face on conference day. Guidelines available in the event menu (upper right).

2. Face-to-face portfolio critiques will be available for an extra $45. Assignments are first-come, first-served based on your registration date. Guidelines available in the event menu (upper right). 

3. Portfolio showcase — no charge. Guidelines available in the event menu (upper right). 

IMPORTANT: By signing up for this event, you acknowledge that audio taping, video taping and/or transmitting or aiding in the foregoing of any part of the conference (including, but not limited to, presentations, individual sessions and networking events) is prohibited. Additionally, the material in all handouts and presentations is copyrighted and may not be reprinted, blogged, written, orally transmitted, and/or reproduced without written permission of the copyright holder ONLY.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Full refund (less $30 processing fee) before April 1, 2015. From April 2, 2015, a 50% refund IF we can fill your spot off the waiting list. Otherwise, no refund. No refunds for manuscript or portfolio critiques.
