We are excited to bring SCBWI illustrators our first regional webinar! This workshop will be chock full of key lessons illustrators can immediately apply to their artwork and digital toolset.

Our webinar presenter is the highly-recommended David Opie, who has taught at the Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago and was a full-time instructor in the illustration department of the American Academy of Art in downtown Chicago. He blogs about Photoshop techniques and custom brushes, so he'll do a great job guiding us through making the most of Photoshop and illustration!

This webinar is open to SCBWI members and non-members and we expect a lot of interest for the limited spots, so make sure you sign up early! A recording will be viewable for registered participants for two weeks after the scheduled webinar time (1:00-3:00 Pacific Time on August 28th) so it will fit in everyone's schedule, no matter where you live*.

Tip: you can download a trial version of Photoshop and/or Photoshop Elements to make it easier to follow along with David's presentation. Go to for more info on each program. (But be aware of the trial periods and don't download it too soon, or you might be left without it for the webinar date)

Submit your questions for the webinar to Angelica at

**Please note that due to the availibility of the replay to fit registrants' schedules, refunds will not be offered for this event.
